I haven't seen the movie, nor have I finished the book. Actually just started this morning, and I can already tell I will like the main character, he's a Librarian! Can't wait to read each of your responses and thoughts on the book. This was a great idea Joyce.
Having been unable to attend any meetings, I am looking forward to being able to start reading this book. I enjoyed the Lace Reader...definitely not ready for the ending.

ReplyDeleteI am about halfway through, just read about Henry and Claire's wedding. I love the story but at times I become dizzy with all the jumping back and forth.
ReplyDeleteOkay I have finished the book. At times I felt like I was on a Merry go round wondering at what time I would get off. I really would like to see the movie, and see how faithful it was to the story line. It was interesting that what happen to him in the time he traveled to, affected his present. Don't know if I would be as strong and as patient as Claire.
ReplyDeleteWell, I have finished The Story of Edgar Sawtelle and now I feel like a castaway on a desert island. I have no one to talk to. We need to meet and talk about TTW and maybe work on reading the same book at the same time. JB
ReplyDeleteJust finished the Time Travelers Wife. I enjoyed the book. I did not like the fact that he died and knew it was going to happen. Also felt sorry for Clare knowing her little girl was a time traveler also. Don't think I could have accepted my husband not being there and leaving every time he got stressed. My husband would always be gone!
ReplyDeleteOkay ladies, now that everyone has finished the Time Traveler's wife we need to set aside a date to meet, drink and discuss. Joyce is starting to feel all alone has she is reading ahead of us(can we say G.T) Next book The Story of Edgar Sawtelle, it is available in the Kindle format.

I am trying really hard to finish Edgar Sawtelle. I am finding that it is not moving as quickly as I like. I am at the point that Edgar realizes his uncle killed his dad and has his sights on Edgar's mom.
